The technology utilizes the replacement method and neutralization method to treat the etching wasted liquid to distill the valuable resources including copper sulphate. and spongy copper powder, etc. that comply with the class-1 national standard from the waste liquids.
In 1990 this technology was listed into the major promotion plan of the national achievement of science and technology and in 1991 it was awarded the third prize of Advance of Science and Technology in Shenzhen and the second prize of Advance of Science and Technology by the China Environmental Protection Bureau. By years of constant optimization of techniques, the production capacity of copper sulphate. has exceeded 350 tons/m, the coefficient of utilization and transformation of copper up to 97% and the rate of first-class product comes to 100%.
This process uses waste etching liquor containing copper in PCB production line to manufacture basic copper chloride of feed grade. Comparing with copper sulphate, this product has advantages such as more effectively and more friendly to the environment when be used . In 2004,this product gained the “ New Product Certificate ” issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, and appraised as a “ safe,effective and no- polluting environment ” product.
This technology is used to regulate the components of the neutralized filter-press liquid (including approximate 20% ammonium chloride and some additives) produced in the course of manufacturing copper sulphate with the waste etching liquid, reduce the copper contents, supplement indispensable components such as ammonium chloride and additives, etc. to produce the ammonium etching liquid in compliance with the etching technique of fine circuit boards. This technology is the first of its kind at home and abroad with all etching performances higher than those for the similar etching salts at home. It can provide a better way for eliminating the secondary pollution of copper sulphate production, and also carved out a new approach to control such wastes. In 1996, this technology passed the professional assessment and won the national patent with the patent number of 96101855.3. In 1997, it was entitled the Best Applicable Technology of Guangdong Province. In 1998, it won Prize III of the Advance of Science and Technology by Shenzhen Government and at present, the production capacity of ammonium etching liquid has overrun 700 tons per month.
This technique uses PCB waste etching liquor to produce basic copper carbonate, and it won the Prize III of Science & Technology for Environmental Protection of State EPB and the Prize III of the Advance of Science and Technology by Shenzhen Municipality in 2004.
This technology is used to recycle the ferric chloride wasted etching liquid into the of ferric chloride etching liquid and use it again for etching procedures in the circuit board factories or for purifying the sewage via adding iron to replace copper and condensing chloride reaction. It has greatly reduced the amount of wasted liquid to be treated and made full use of ferric resources. This technology is used to produce tribasic lead sulfate from lead and lead compound in the wastes via the approaches of transformation and acid leaching, etc. The product can act as the thermal stabilizer for the processing of PVC and plastic products with wide purposes. The technology won the national patent with the patent number of 98104858.7 in 1998 and was elected one of the major promotion projects of scientific and technological achievements in Shenzhen.
This technology is used to recycle the metal resources like nickel, cobalt and cadmium from the wasted nickel and cadmium boards in the Rechargeable batteries via the solvent extracting technique, chemical and physical approaches.
